Meaning/Question/Application (MQA) Bible study practice with Romans 12

Ronda

In the devotional section for Mark, I have used one technique for Bible study. However, some people may want to go a little deeper in their study. If you want to dig into a passage deeper and try to get the maximum amount of understanding from each verse, try this technique. The video is a little over 40 minutes long; however, you will need about an hour to finish because you will be asked to pause the video and write down your own ideas about the verses. The point of this presentation is not to have you understand Romans 12 although that will be a nice side benefit. The purpose of the video is to teach you how to use the MQA Bible study technique to study any Bible passage.

Before starting the video, you should have a Bible with you to study from. You will also need an MQA chart to write on. If you prefer to simply write out your notes on a blank piece of paper or type them into a word processor, you may as the MQA technique is fairly simple. To download and print the chart, click on the following link.

Feel free to modify the chart as you please. If you want to type in the document, I recommend downloading the Word version.

The video explains how to use the technique. After watching the video, try the technique a few times with other Bible passages to see if you like it. If you feel comfortable using it, then you have found another Bible study tool to have in your toolbox. If you don’t like this technique, keep looking around for Bible study methods that fit your learning style better.
