Bible Verses: Revelation 21:3-4 (ESV-English Standard Version)

An important part of keeping God’s word in your heart and having it available for when you need to quote it to fight against the devil’s temptations is to memorize scripture. There are many ways to do this including singing verses, using pneumonic devices, and old-fashioned look and don’t look as you try to say the verse. Here is a technique that I learned from memverse.com. Try it out and see if it works for you. This passage assures us that there will be a time when there is no more sorrow. We will be with God and live in joy forever. At two to three verses a week, it should take 3 weeks to memorize this passage, but you can work faster if you wish.

Revelation 21:1-6

Step 1: First read or sing or chant the verses several times.

(Verse 3) And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.
(Verse 4)  He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

Step 2: Now try saying the verses with words missing.
